Freelance Backend Developer – Python
Building Python services for a new energy-transition project.
We're looking for a freelance Backend Developer to join ACC on a new project in the energy transition space. We're looking for someone who can start immediately for an initial assignment until April 2027, with the possibility of extension.
If you enjoy building innovative software that actually adds value, not just to the customer, but also to the world around you, this could be a good fit.
What you'll do
You'll join us on a new project and work side-by-side with experienced ACC developers. Together, you will set up everything for the project, including designing data interfaces, configuring the cloud, and writing the Python jobs that do the actual work. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to technical decisions and help shape the architecture and setup of the project.
Our Account Manager handles most customer communication and project management, so you can focus on the technical side of the work.
What you bring
You don't need to tick every box. If you have strong backend experience and enjoy working with a small team, we'd still like to hear from you.
Must have
- Experience as a Medior or Senior Backend Developer
- Strong experience with Python
- Hands-on experience building and/or integrating RESTful APIs
- Comfortable working independently and collaborating closely with other developers
- A practical approach to building maintainable, reliable software
Nice to have
- Experience with Kubernetes
- Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging systems
- Experience with European cloud providers, such as STACKIT or Scaleway
- Knowledge of NIS2, GDPR or other security/compliance requirements
- Experience with the Dutch energy market
- Knowledge of distributed, event-driven systems
